Chemistry for every step between greige yarn and finished fabric.

MertChem produces and supplies sizing, denim, pre-treatment, dyeing, finishing and coating auxiliaries.

Manufactured by MertChem

MERTSIZE CMS

A carboxymethyl starch size that holds the warp through weaving, then dissolves in water — so desizing needs no amylase enzyme.

  • Desizes without amylase enzymes
  • Water-soluble — washes out
  • Biodegradable, from a renewable raw material

Product range

Five families, one supplier.

Each range is built around the problems mills actually raise — warp breaks, uneven shades, harsh handle, failed audits. Open a category to see the individual products, with technical data sheets and recommended dosages.

Sizing products

Applied at the sizing machine, before weaving.
Spun, blended and filament yarns.

Sizing agents coat the yarn with a film that holds down hairiness, raises tensile strength and lets the warp survive the friction of the loom. Our own production is MERTSIZE CMS, a carboxymethyl starch size that washes out completely at desizing. Around it we supply modified starches, carboxymethyl cellulose grades, synthetic acrylics and ready-made one-shot compounds, so you can reach the add-on and desizing behaviour your fabric needs without over-formulating the size box.

  • CMS carboxymethyl starch sizes
  • CMC cellulose grades, low to high viscosity
  • Modified starch sizing agents
  • One-shot compound sizes
  • Synthetic acrylic sizes
  • Starch replacement compounds
  • Sizing waxes and lubricants

Denim products

Rope and sheet dyeing, desizing, garment laundry.

Denim is its own discipline: indigo has to build evenly on the rope, the size has to come off cleanly, and the laundry has to produce a wash-down the buyer approves without destroying the fabric. We supply auxiliaries for each of those steps, including formulations aimed at lower water use and shorter cycles.

  • Indigo dyeing assistants
  • Wetting and penetrating agents
  • Desizing agents and enzymes
  • Bleaching and wash-down auxiliaries
  • Anti-back-staining agents
  • Garment softeners

Pre-treatment products

Desizing, scouring, bleaching and mercerising.

Waxes, pectins, seed fragments and residual size all have to leave the fabric before it can be dyed. Pre-treatment decides absorbency and whiteness, and most dyeing complaints start here. Our range keeps peroxide under control, holds hardness ions out of the bath and gets the cloth to the dyehouse level and clean.

  • Wetting agents
  • Detergents and scouring agents
  • Sequestering agents
  • Peroxide stabilisers and killers
  • Desizing enzymes
  • Bio-polishing enzymes

Dyeing, printing and digital printing

Reactive, disperse, vat and pigment systems.
Rotary and digital printing.

Right-first-time dyeing depends less on the dye than on what surrounds it. Levelling and dispersing agents control migration and shade uniformity, fixatives protect wash fastness, and defoamers keep the jet running. For printing we supply thickeners and the pre-coat chemistry digital printing needs to hold a sharp line.

  • Levelling and dispersing agents
  • Anti-creasing agents
  • Defoamers
  • Dye fixing agents
  • Printing thickeners
  • Digital print pre-treatments

Finishing and coating products

Applied on the stenter, padder and coating line.

Finishing is where the fabric gets the properties the buyer is paying for — handle, drape, water repellency, dimensional stability. We supply silicone and hydrophilic softeners, repellent systems, crosslinkers and coating binders, and will match a recipe to your substrate and curing conditions rather than sending a generic dosage.

  • Silicone softeners
  • Hydrophilic softeners
  • Water and oil repellents
  • Crosslinking resins
  • Coating binders and thickeners
  • Anti-slip and handle builders

Frequently asked

Questions buyers ask us first.

Is MertChem a manufacturer?

Yes. MertChem is a manufacturer of textile auxiliaries, producing under its own name since 2018 as the chemical brand of Mert Tekstil. We also supply selected traded grades where it completes the range for a customer.

Which certifications do you hold?

Our products are OEKO-TEX certified and registered to ZDHC Level 3, the highest conformance level of the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List. GOTS certification is in progress.

Which countries do you supply?

All of them. Türkiye sits between Europe, Asia and Africa, and we ship worldwide through the Port of İzmir — one of the country's main container gateways, with direct services to Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. Tell us your destination and we will quote the freight with the product.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes. Lab quantities are sent free of charge for trial work, together with the technical data sheet and a recommended starting recipe.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Powder products are supplied in 25 kg bags, and liquid products in drums and IBCs. The minimum quantity depends on the grade — tell us the product and we will confirm packaging and quantity.

Do you formulate to customer specification?

Yes — tailor-made products are the core of what we do. Send the target performance, substrate and process conditions, and we will develop and trial a formulation with you.
