From the mill floor to the laboratory
Mert Tekstil was founded in 1979 and has worked in the textile industry ever since. From 1989 we specialised in the professional decommissioning and recommissioning of second-hand textile machinery, and since 1995 we have been the official agent in Türkiye for Schmale Durate cutting, sewing and folding installations for home textiles.
That is an unusual route into chemistry, and it shapes how we work. Before MertChem existed we had spent decades inside weaving mills and dyehouses, installing and commissioning the machines our auxiliaries now run on. When a customer describes a problem at the size box or on the stenter, we have generally stood in front of that machine.

MertChem, since 2018
MertChem is our brand for chemical production. Since 2018 it has supplied textile auxiliary solutions built around two commitments: that they work in the customer's own conditions, and that they are as environmentally responsible as the process allows. Our products are tailor-made — adjusted to your water, your substrate, your machinery and your curing conditions rather than sold from a fixed recipe.
Sizing · Denim · Pre-treatment · Dyeing and printing · Finishing and coating. Every product ships with its technical data sheet, safety data sheet and a recommended starting recipe.
Customer satisfaction, and trust before anything else
Since our founding, our primary goal has been customer satisfaction, backed now by more than four decades of experience. We believe trust matters more than material things. We have travelled widely and built long relationships with customers in the Americas, Europe and Asia, and our aim is to use that experience and enthusiasm to exceed what you expect from a supplier.
Certifications
Our products are OEKO-TEX certified and registered to ZDHC Level 3, the highest conformance level of the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List. GOTS certification is in progress. Details are in our quality policy.
